Four key games involve top teamsPVT
Those are the headline games tonight, featuring teams ranked in the Pahrump Valley Times Nevada High School Football ratings. Boulder City, No. 4 in Class 3-A, is at home against unranked Pahrump Valley tonight in a Southern Nevada Class 3-A League game. A Pahrump Valley win would give the Trojans the Southern League title. The Trojans would finish 3-1 in league games, a record already achieved by No. 3-ranked Las Vegas Faith Lutheran. Pahrump Valley defeated the Crusaders 32-21 two weeks ago; Faith finished its league schedule last Friday with a 39-36 overtime victory against Boulder City. Tonopah, 5-2, is ranked No. 2 in Class A, with Spring Mountain, 6-1, at No. 3. The winner of this game has the inside track to the Nevada Central Class A Division title. Both the Muckers and Eagles are 3-0 in Central Division games. Thursday, Tonopah closes the season at Beatty, while Spring Mountain tangles with Indian Springs. Las Vegas, No. 7, is at No. 5 Las Vegas Valley tonight in a Clarke County Class 4-A battle. No. 2 Reno McQueen and No. 10 Sparks Reed collide in a 4-A contest. Henderson Foothill, 8-0, is ranked No. 1 in 4-A; Spring Creek, 8-0, tops the 3-A; undefeateds Pershing County Lovelock and Battle Mountain continue to share the 2-A top spot, and Pahranagat Valley, 8-0, is No. 1 in Class A, Nevada's eight-man football program.
