NEW BOOM
65,000 homes planned for Inyo

Far from the vision of its early and optimistic planners in the 1970s, the proposed subdivision of Charleston View, Calif., has long been a sort of no man's land, a sparsely populated stretch of desert in the otherwise empty landscape stretching for miles around the place where the edges of Inyo County, Calif., and Clark County meet along the Tecopa cutoff at Highway 160 heading west.

Dominique Maloy will compete for Pahrump Valley in the Great Southwest Classic Track and Field Championships at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque Saturday.

For the second consecutive season, Dominique Maloy, the sophomore track sensation out of Pahrump Valley High School, is on the Nevada team that will compete Saturday in the Great Southwest Track and Field Classic at Albuquerque, N.M.
