Commission holds a special meeting Thursday morning

The Nye County Board of Commissioners has scheduled a special teleconference meeting for Thursday at 8:30 a.m. in Pahrump and Tonopah. The Pahrump meeting will be in the commissioners' offices at 250 N. Highway 160.

The meeting agenda is fourfold:

• Action, discussion and possible decision to rescind direction to staff at the April 6 commission meeting regarding the county's debt payment for the Nye Regional Hospital District in preparation of the tentative Nye County budget.

• Action, discussion and possible decision on approval of the tentative Nye County budget for fiscal year 2005-06, including separate budgets for the Nye County Hospital District, the Gabbs Town Advisory Board and the Amargosa Valley Advisory Board.

• Action, discussion and possible decision and direction to staff regarding the possible appraisal and sale of Nye County property located at 5501 N. Becky Lane in Pahrump.

• Action, discussion and possible decision to approve a letter notifying the Department of Energy on the distribution of oversight funds resulting from the Affected Units of Local

Governments decision.
