Bowling in summer? Contact the Times

Pahrump bowlers competing at Desert Retreat or Las Vegas-area facilities in summer leagues should e-mail or fax information to the Pahrump Valley Times.

Fax releases, league standings and individual scores to 727-5309 or hand-deliver to the newspaper at 2160 E. Calvada Blvd.

Results should include league name, team win-loss records, the week's top scores, as well as any other information pertaining to bowling, such as individual averages for all bowlers on each team.

The minimum games for the honor roll are 180 for women and 225 for men; the series are 500 for women, 600 for men.

Deadline is 5 p.m. Tuesdays.

There are leagues in Las Vegas which include greater Pahrump Valley area bowlers, but results, standings and other information have not been reported.

Tourney bowling event Saturday

The Pahrump Valley Tournament Bowling Club will hold a singles tournament with handicap and by division Saturday at Santa Fe Station. Mountain View Casino and DW Bowling are the sponsors.

Squad times are 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. The entry fee is $12 - $10 for members who have paid their active fee.

The tournament is open to all club members and Pahrump bowlers.

500 Club tourney slated May 7

The Pahrump Valley 500 Club's next bowling tournament will be May 7 at Santa Fe Lanes; it is doubles.
