Twelve Pahrump Valley-area students passed their Pahrump Dojo Belt examination at the Dragon Cloud Dojo Sunday. Earning yellow belts were (front row, from left) Logan White, Chelsea Garcia, Amber Skilling and Sam Burtenshaw. (Middle row) Kyle R. Bartolucci, Kayla Skilling, Donny Smith and Christan Lira. (Back row) Sensei Hernandez, Jack Murphy, Tom Wujek, Colton D. Stanley and Jerry D. Hall. The belt exams are a system of predetermined victories for students to heighten their enthusiasm and further their motivation towards the goal of black belt.
