Stacie Gittelman

Visitation for Stacie Lynn Gittelman, 39, who passed away Oct. 21 in Las Vegas, will be held from 6-8 p.m. today at Pahrump Family Mortuary. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Desert View Memorial Park in Victorville, Calif.

She was born Aug. 24, 1965 in Sacramento and was a resident of Pahrump for five years, coming from New Jersey.

She worked as the director of the Pahrump Valley Cheer and Dance Academy until 2003 and was of the Baptist faith.

Her husband David Gittelman of Pahrump; daughter Alisha Watson of Pahrump; son Brad Humble of Ponca City, Okla.; father Richard Fox of Victorville; mother Janet Gaston of Victorville; brother Gary Johnson of Alta Loma, Calif.; and grandson Kristopher, survive her.

Pahrump Family Mortuary handled the arrangements.



Donald Pannell

Services for Donald Lee Pannell, 63, who died Oct. 23 in Aberdeen, Wash., will be conducted by Whiteside Mortuary in Aberdeen.

He was born May 11, 1941 in Santa Monica, Calif., to James Monroe Pannell and Ruth Marion Soule.

He worked as the circulation manager for the Pahrump Valley Times from June 1999 to July 2000 and as a freelance photographer for the Pahrump Valley View from Feb. 2001 until Nov. 2002. He also worked as an independent contractor for many years in Washington, California and Nevada. He also volunteered at the Pahrump Valley Chamber of Commerce. He retired in 1997 due to health reasons.

His wife of 13 years, Bridget Pannell, son Rick Rush, daughters Katie Kehoe and Brenda Pannell, grandsons Alex and Justin Brandt, all of Washington; brother James Edward "Buzz" Pannell of California; uncle George Pannell Jr. and aunts Bertha Johnson and Velma Gilbert, all of California, survive him.

His parents and daughter, Terri Lynn Rush, preceded him in death.

Whiteside Mortuary in Aberdeen handled the arrangements. (10/24/04)

Harry Aiken

A memorial service for Harry Louis Aiken, 73, who died Oct. 20 in Pahrump, will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Moose Lodge on Second Street.

He was born Nov. 7, 1930 in Englewood, Calif., and moved to Pahrump in 1991, coming from Fresno, Calif.

He worked as a trucker in the transportation industry and was a member of the Moose Lodge, American Legion and the Elks. An "old car nut," he also belonged to three car clubs.

His companion Emma Vevers survives him.

Neptune Society of Nye County handled the arrangements. (10/20/04)

Frank Brink

Frank L. Brink, 70, passed away Oct. 23. A private memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at his home on Blagg Road. Burial will be in Washington State.

He was a part-time resident of Pahrump, after making Washington home for most of his life.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and then served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked as a federal police officer for many years and then became self-employed in his own business before retiring.

He had five children, Scott, Stephanie, Shelly, Sherry and Steven and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. His soul mate of 49 years, Dolores; sister Betty and brother Henry survive him.

His brothers Charles and Walter preceded him in death. (10/23/04)

Harold Haase

Visitation for Harold H. Haase, 55, who died Oct. 19 in Las Vegas, will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd., Las Vegas. Burial services will follow at Woodland Cemetery, located at Las Vegas Boulevard and Owens.

He was born July 27, 1949 in New Jersey. He moved to Pahrump in 1992, coming from Las Vegas.

He was known by all his friends as "Harry."

His ex-wife Mary K. Haase and two stepsons, Blair and Brian Martin, survive him.

Monika Henderson

No services are scheduled for Monika Henderson, 62, who died Oct. 19.

She was born in Austria and came to the United States in 1965. She moved to Pahrump in 1994, coming from Texas.

For the last several years she worked as a change person for the Pahrump Nugget. She enjoyed reading, hiking in the mountains and a good hand on the poker machines.

Her daughters Deborah of Frisco, Texas, and Pamela of Orlando, Fla., and granddaughter Natalie of Frisco survive her.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice. (10/19/04)

Billie Sunderland

Visitation for Billie F. L. Sunderland, 75, who died Oct. 24 in Las Vegas, will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at Palm Mortuary - Downtown, 1325 N. Main Street in Las Vegas. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the same location with interment at Palm Memorial Park in Las Vegas.

She was born June 10, 1929 in Wingate, Texas, and was a resident of Pahrump since 1998.

Before retiring she worked as waitress in the hotel/casino industry.

Her daughter Carol Baines (Donald Davis) of Pahrump; and sons Bob and Doug Sunderland, both of Pahrump, survive her.
