Truckee, Moapa Valley 1-2 in football ratings
Truckee, the Northern League leader, defeated Fernley 47-0, while Moapa Valley wrecked Las Vegas Faith Lutheran 44-14 last week to maintain their standing. Completing the top six: No. 3 Mesquite Virgin Valley; No. 4 Boulder City; No. 5 Spring Creek and No. 6 Dayton. Moapa Valley is at Pahrump Valley tonight for a Southern League game, while Truckee is at home against Dayton in a Northern shootout Saturday afternoon. Virgin Valley and Boulder City collide tonight on the Eagles' field, while Spring Creek plays a non-league game tonight at Reno Damonte Ranch. Reno Bishop Manogue leads Henderson Foothill in the Class 4-A ratings; Lovelock is atop the rankings for the second straight week, and Carlin continues to lead the Class A (eight-man) ratings.
