Town Board preview

PVT

The Pahrump Town Board, along with independent auditor Dan McArthur, will correct mistakes made in the budget and June 2003 audit when the board meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Bob Ruud Community Center.

Money from the capital projects fund to the enterprise fund will be corrected, as well as relocating the courtyard donation into the right fund. Corrective action will be taken on the June 2003 audit, as it pertains to the Department of Taxation plan.

Other topics of discussion are:

• The board will discuss and could take a position on the proposed zoning ordinance.

• A discussion on imposing an additional tax or flat rate fee for the sale of fireworks in Nye County will take place.

The additional tax or fee will be given to the fire-rescue service of the town that it serves. The tax or fee will have to be enforced by the Nye County Commission.

• The board will have the first reading of the third amendment to the business license ordinance. The ordinance has the $10 increase in business licenses.

• The third reading of the street numbering ordinance will be presented by the board.
