Angel's Ladies brothel for sale

OUTSPOKEN OWNER MAC MOORE SEEKS $1.8 MILLION FOR 48-ACRE PARCEL NEAR BEATTY

PVT

MARK WAITE / PVT
A for sale sign on Highway 95 advertises the sale of Angel's Ladies Brothel, pictured in the rear of the photo behind a crashed plane.
Mack Moore, owner of Angel's Ladies Brothel situated just north of Beatty, has his business up for sale again, this time with a sign on the highway.

Moore's asking price for the brothel, plus 48 acres of land, is $1.8 million.

"We had a signed contract and everything but the man who put the money into it belonged to a mortgage association," Moore said. "They found out he was buying a brothel and the mortgage association is in Salt Lake City."

Moore said he had a signed contract to sell 18 months ago. "He just informed us the last three, four weeks that he couldn't go through with it."

Moore said he owns a total of 80 acres. He said the 48 acres up for sale includes 452 feet of highway frontage that would be ideal for a truck stop.

Moore said he's 76 years old and wants to hit the road with his 40-foot motor home.

"Last time we put it on the Internet. We got 405 people interested and they just ran us to death. So many of them didn't have any money; they thought they could convince us to move in and take over, and they'd get free sex with all the girls," Moore said.

"We did have about, oh, 25 or 30 who did have a little money and were interested, but then after we had that sale and had $5,000 down on it with a promise to pay the rest on it, we lost all those contacts," he said. "This time we said we'd put it in the hands of realtors."

Moore said he owned the brothel almost eight years. A new property owner who wants to operate the brothel would have to obtain a brothel license. Moore's license permits him to have up to five prostitutes.

Angels Ladies has a hot spring in the back. Moore said the water comes out of the mountain at 100 degrees; it's usually 84 degrees in the pool.

"There's nothing like it in the whole state of Nevada, there's 25 brothels, we're the only one that's an oasis in the desert," Moore said. "I think it'll sell real soon now."
