Tortoise on fed's radar

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is threatening penalties against developers for disturbing desert tortoise habitat in Pahrump Valley, Nye County Natural Resources Director Jim Marble said Tuesday, urging the adoption of a countywide habitat conservation plan.

T.R. Plummer pitched a complete game for Pahrump Valley's Trojans, in their 9-5 victory against Wisconsin Lutheran of Milwaukee Wednesday. The Trojans overcame a 4-0 deficit to prevail against the Vikings.

Pahrump Valley rallied from a 4-0 deficit and got clutch pitching from T.R. Plummer to defeat visiting Wisconsin Lutheran of Milwaukee 9-5 Wednesday at the high school field.
