Reid: Shut down waste repository
WASHINGTON - Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., on Wednesday called for an immediate shutdown of the Yucca Mountain nuclear waste site until inspectors can determine whether rock tailings piled near the repository tunnel pose health hazards.

Pahrump Valley's Southern champions - Caleb Madosik, Cody Schneider and Dustin Knutson, along with defending state champions Bryce Saddoris, Buck Claesson and Jarrin Prokasky - will compete in the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association Class 3-A Wrestling Tournament Saturday at Virgin Valley High School in Mesquite.
