The Pahrump Genealogical Society is updating information on who is buried in the Chief Tecopa Cemetery.
The goal is to make the list as accurate as possible. When complete, the results will be published and copies will be made available to the county, town office, Pahrump Historical Society and the Chamber of Commerce.
There are graves at the cemetery without markers, and the genealogical society notes every person buried there played a part in Pahrump's history. Those who have a family member or friend buried in the cemetery are asked to contact Ted Edwards (727-1996) or to call 727-9680.
