SPOTLIGHT ON NEW BUSINESSES: Pahrump Family Mortuary

Mildred Janssen, CEO of the Pahrump Family Mortuary, began working in the business just three years ago when the owner (at that time) asked her to come in just to answer the phone.î She dramatically changed her life when she reluctantly said okay.î

Until my stoke last year, I went on every pickup because I wanted to make sure the families were treated the way I would want to be treated,î with compassion and dignity at their time of need and sorrow.

On May 1st, Millie, as she likes to be called, her husband Emil and Jim Lee became full owners of the mortuary. Jim Lee has been in the business for 32 years and is the Director and Mortician for Pahrump Family Mortuary. He is the third generation in his family to be in the business. Following true to form, his son, fourth generation, just graduated from the same school Jim attended in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Millie's goal is to serve the people of Pahrump, to give the best service at the best price. I
